On May 6, 2009, ACKC
welcomes Janna Audey for her first gig in D.C.
Her music is soulful and etherial. She is often
compared to Nora Jones and Alanis Morrissette.
Check out her tunes HERE.
Janna will be performing at ACKC once a month
or so--starting on May 6 at 7:30 p.m. Come by
for a generous dose of musical introspection and
be prepared to have her "cast a spell on
you," as one critic put it.

I scream, you scream,
we all scream for ice cream. We've heard the screaming
and have made some big changes at both ACKC locations.
We've purchased some giant machines and are now
making our own soft ice cream. You can now get
all of your favorite diva flavor combos as either
a hot chocolate, an ice cream dessert, or a milk
shake. You can also get soft serve ice cream cones
in chocolate, vanilla or zebra. In the Alexandria
store, you will still be able to get Gifford's
Ice Cream too.
To introduce our new ice cream to you, we are
hosting an ice cream social at both locations
at the same time: Sunday, May 3 from 2:00 p.m.
to 4:00 p.m. Stop by and sample our yummy new
frozen concoctions.
While there is no charge for the event, we do
ask that you RSVP by replying to the announcement
e-mail. If you're not on our mailing list, click

ACKC ALEXANDRIA
is introducing a new product to our line up--Parisian
Macarons--following the successful introduction
at the D.C. store.
These small
round cookies are crisp on the outside, smooth
and soft in the middle. The result is a cookie
that initially gives a light crunch before slowly
melting in your mouth. The Parisian Macarons are
a perfect companion to hot chocolate or coffee.
Michel's Parisian Macarons
are made by hand daily. He uses the finest natural
ingredients like Californian almonds, fresh farm
eggs, European butter and Valrohna chocolate.
While there is no charge
for the event, we do ask that you RSVP by replying
to the announcement e-mail. If you're not on our
